When will my Wild Indigo plant flower?

Plants are flowering size. Plants purchased after the mid-May will bloom the following year.

Wild Indigo makes a wonderful addition to flower beds and naturalistic plantings where its fine, dissected leaves compliment other plants.

When to plant

Can be planted throughout the year, though the best time is from spring through early fall when plants are actively growing.

Two to three feet apart.

Native habitat and range

Grows in sandhills, in seasonally moist pine flatwoods, and along the edges of woodlands from New York to Florida.

Source and origin

Plants are grown from cuttings collected from a wild population in Pender County, North Carolina.

Are your plants shipped in their containers?

Yes, all our plants are shipped in their growing containers. The dimensions of the containers are 4.5 inches wide by 5 inches deep or 32 fl. oz.

How long will it take to get my order?

All plants are shipped from our nursery in central North Carolina. When you select the "ship now" option, your order will be shipped within one week.

Can I get my plants shipped at a later date?

Yes, in the shopping cart select the week you would like your order to be shipped on.

What shipping carriers do you use?

USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground for larger orders.

Do you guarantee your plants?

We guarantee our plants to be healthy, ready for planting, and correctly named. We are not able to guarantee whether a plant will grow in your garden as there are too many circumstances that are beyond our control.

On rare occasions, a plant shipped dormant may fail to emerge from its dormancy. If this happens, please let us know.

If you are concerned about a plant, please contact us within 14 days to let us know. If we can’t help you make it grow, we’ll send you a new plant or issue a refund.

Returns

Unfortunately, due to the perishable nature of plants, they can’t be returned for a refund. If your plants arrive damaged or you are unhappy with them, please let us know straight away.

What about sales tax?

We propagate our own plants and are not required to collect North Carolina sales tax.
