Milkweeds are essential for sustaining monarch butterflies. While adult monarch butterflies can feed on nectar from a wide variety of plants, female monarch butterflies lay their eggs exclusively on milkweed plants. Milkweed leaves, stems, and flower buds are the only food source monarch caterpillars can feed upon. Without milkweeds, monarchs cannot reproduce. Add milkweeds to your garden to help support monarch populations in your region.
We start shipping most milkweeds as they begin to emerge in spring. If a species is listed as sold out, sign up for the plant you would like and we’ll let you know as soon as they are ready.
